Hi! Everyone. My name is Grace, I was born in Hong Kong but grew up in England. I spent most of my childhood days in Oxford and moved to London for university and work. I have been in Japan for about 15 years and ever since I have been an English teacher.
Personally, I think studying a language, all aspects are important – speaking, writing, reading and listening.Depanding on each student, but I especially think reading is important.I always try to make students read out the work they’ve done. That way they can learn new vocabulary, grammar pronunciation and sentence structure.All that could help them in speaking and writing. By reading it out, students can also practice listening.

When learning English, I think it is very important to focus on speaking, reading and grammar. During my lessons, I like to begin with speaking. I encourage the students to talk either by asking questions or teaching new vocabulary, so that they can create sentences. Next, I get them to study reading and grammar. Reading is very important because, not only does it teach them how to read, but also how to pronounce new words. It also helps me understand their level and what they struggle with. Grammar is a must when it comes to forming the correct sentences for speaking and writing. These three subjects are essential when learning English and will greatly assist the students in furthering their English skills.

My goal is to make learning English fun! I believe that a cheerful environment will help students realise that studying English can be enjoyable. Reading and writing in a language we are not fluent in can be pretty tiresome, but with the right approach it all feels a lot more refreshing.
I would like to help students with their creative writing, build their vocabulary, and make sure they don’t lose their spark throughout the learning process!

I would like to teach English through variety of fun activities in a friendly and natural environment. As every student is different, I will do my best to give each of them the attention they need and help them discover the fun of learning a new language.

I would like to teach English to kids in an interactive way so as to have them become accustomed to an English speaking environment. I’d like to do so through activities and games, while kids can also learn the joy of learning English. Since every child is different, I’d also like to adjust my teaching methods according to their individualities and English levels.

私は台湾生まれアメリカ育ちなので、見た目はアジア人に見えますが、正真正銘のアメリカ人です！関西学院高等部で先生をしながら、アップルシードでもパートで英語を教えています。

重視しているポイント：楽しい環境の中で子供達自身が英語を意欲的に学べるように、言語を学ぶスキルだけではなく将来に役に立つスキルも教えてあげたいと思います。ここで勉強するすべての子供達が英語でコミニュケーションをとる喜びと良さを実感してくれることを望んでいます。

Born in Taiwan, and grew up in California. Look Asian, but I’m definitely American! While working at Kansei Gagukuin High School, I am also a part-timer here at Appleseed.

My main focus: MOTIVATE students to learn English, in a fun environment while teaching them skills not only for language learning, but for their future as well. I hope that all the students here will realize the joy and the advantages of communicating in English.
